
OUR MISSION
Special Olympics provides year-round
sports training and athletic competition in a
variety of Olympic-type sports for persons 8
years of age and older with intellectual
disabilities, giving them the continuing
opportunities to develop physical fitness,
demonstrate courage, experience joy and
participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and
friendship with their families, other Special
Olympics athletes and their community.

Our "Young Athletes" program provides developmentally appropriate play for children with intellectual disibilities ages 2 through 7.

Special Olympics volunteers come from all different walks of life, have a different levels of experience with sports and varying levels of interest.
